Title I Reading/math Program

Title I is a federal grant program which funds supplemental instruction in Reading and Math for students who may have a difficult time decoding, reading fluently, or comprehending text. Title I now supports students who may benefit from additional instruction in math as well. Skilled tutors and teachers work with students within the classroom or in another setting to “shore up” specific skills. Children are selected for Title I by scores on benchmark reading or math tests and/or teacher recommendations.
