Twinning, now 20 years old, is in full swing between our school and the inclusive institute Lenox Memorial Middle High School, Massachusetts (USA), which is involving 11 students this year accompanied by teachers Romina Ciribilli and Matteo Chiocci.
The first leg included a 3-day visit to the capital, Washington DC, in which the kids got fully in touch with American culture and history through visiting cultural institutions such as the National Museum of Natural History, the National Air and Space Museum.
National Museum of the American Indian, National Gallery of Art.. but also with American political life through places of power like the White House and Capitol Hill, enjoying a guided tour in this latter case. In addition this morning there was a kind and precious visit to the children by professor Maurizio Biasini, professor of Experimental Physics at the University of Perugia and, since 2022, scientific assistant at the Italian Embassy in Washington DC. During saluting the professor Biasini gave a short and much appreciated lecture to the students on the role and functions of the institution he represents.
